Ambika developed her unique paintings using Waldorf education painting techniques. She modified her method by randomly applying paint to wet paper, letting it run as it would, and then leaving it to dry. The Waldorf technique has a prescribed sequence for applying colors.
Ambika sees forms within the paint and draws them using crayons, as well as gold, silver, and copper pens. Then she photographs the paintings, placing them under prisms to create light orbs and rainbows. These add an “otherworldly” effect to the prints.
She has chosen the best of her many paintings to share with you.
